Brina Steblovnik

Brina Steblovnik is a designer and creator whose practice spans product, digital, and industrial design, as well as work with glass, ceramics, wool, and painting. She is driven by curiosity and an interest in understanding users, materials, processes, and the ways in which they can be transformed. She works both in Slovenia and internationally, exploring the relationships between material, landscape, and time through her glasswork. She is inspired by the subtle and ephemeral qualities of glass and the traces left in space by natural and human processes. She is particularly interested in the heritage of modernism and postmodernism, as well as the Pohorje region, where glassmaking heritage and forest landscapes intertwine. In her work, she combines traditional glassmaking techniques with experimental procedures and research into materials and mold-making.
