Broken Bones

Broken Bones is a small family distillery that grew out of a family tradition of producing beer, wine, and spirits. Their goal is to develop premium spirits that convince and enchant drinkers with a bold, complex, and surprising taste and aroma. Every Broken Bones spirit elegantly combines superior traditional craftsmanship with the distinctive mark of Slovenia. Their gins get their recognizable flavor from carefully selected herbs, some of which are gathered in the Slovenian Karst, while their whiskey is aged for a time in Slovenian oak barrels. The Broken Bones distillery team consists of Borut Osojnik, Polona Preskar, and Boštjan Marušič. Borut Osojnik is a philosophy professor with extensive professional experience in distilling, a whiskey enthusiast and importer, and a home distiller. Polona Preskar is an economist with many years of experience in leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry. She continues her family's tradition of winemaking and distilling. Boštjan Marušič is a computer science engineer, trained as a cellar master and an official taster of wine and spirits. He earned a diploma in distillation from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD) in London.
