Darja Malešič collaborates with Slovenian wicker artisans to create contemporary products that combine cultural heritage and sustainability. With a background in the fashion industry, she spent over a decade designing for prestigious foreign brands after completing her MA at the Royal College of Art. She has received several awards and accolades for her work, including three Made in Slovenia labels of excellence: in 2023 for Corn Dolly shoes, in 2021 for Corn Husk Rug and in 2020 for Knitted Vision. Malešič has participated in several high-profile national and international solo exhibitions, such as Zagreb Design Week (2023), Ljubljana Design Week (2022, 2023), Berlin Design Week (2021), Vienna Design Week (2023), Milan Design Week (2022), Created in Slovenia (2022), Handicraft Triennial (2023/2024) and others.
