PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Thoughtfully designed, Folds candle holders are crafted with minimal manipulation of an industrial semi-finished product, an aluminum rod.
Aware of the strong presence of metal products manufacturers in Slovenia, the authors got the idea for aluminum candle holders when they visited the Weber company in Škofja Loka, which specializes in CNC metal machining services. They came up with a concept that involved minimum manipulation of an industrial product – a cylindrical rod made from recycled aluminum. They called this approach, which consists of making a small, simple change to a semi-finished product in order to transform it into a functional design piece with a high added value, “mini”.
