Garment with a life

For more than 35 years, the authors have been developing an open knitwear design system that combines digital design, craftsmanship, and options for repair, adjustment, and transformation throughout the garment’s life cycle. Their garments are designed so as to change together with the user and their needs. Even after years of use, they can be repaired, adjusted, or fully reconstructed to extend their lifecycle. Their production is based on responsible use of materials with zero waste – each knitted piece has a purpose or is reused to make a new garment.
