The author developed a modus operandi that ensures her products respond to clearly expressed needs of their users rather than ill-advised wishes. Each backpack is made to measure and adapted to the customer’s pursuits, use and weather conditions, e.g. in alpine climbing. Crafted from extremely durable, ultralight composite fabric, What Happened Outdoors backpacks are built around longevity, hand-stitched and glued based on a pattern that the author makes herself to ensure they are truly functional. The backpacks come with a lifetime guarantee on repairs. The author has made around 150 backpacks to date, building a collection of diverse functions and purposes.
