The goal of the project is to bridge cultural differences, establish common ground for the people of Earth, and chart a clear path for the planet's future.

The flag of Planet Earth does not divide us into individual nations; instead, it unites humanity at a time when we are being pulled apart by pandemics, discrimination, racism, nationalism, distrust in state institutions, economic displacement, climate change, and more. The designers believe that we will only survive as a species if we connect and act together. For this reason, they created the flag of Planet Earth as a symbol of human unity.
