3D-printed ceramic water filter.
The product was created as part of the BIO 27 production platform, where the authors sought water purification solutions. Utilizing parametric 3D modelling, the ceramic water filter Dodola has a gyroid structure to optimize water absorption and employs the principles of Archimedes’ screw, which allows the water flow to rotate the filter and push the filtered water upwards. The filter effectively purifies water from bacteria, but does not remove minerals. Through its many iterations and guest appearances, the project highlights and addresses the problems of drinking water supply.
