Martina Obid Mlakar combines the tradition of goldsmithing and silversmithing with modern materials and technologies in her work. She weaves her own drawings and multi-layered narratives into her designs. Her feathers embody the transformation of heavy sheet metal into light, airy forms. They speak of the freedom to live and express oneself, as well as of the nest—our safe haven.
