With her first collections, Kristina Ježek created wooden jewelry made from the wood of felled trees from her father's orchard. SIn search of simple but distinctive lines, the RUB necklace collection was created. A rubber cord and a thoughtful aluminium detail was exactly the combination she wanted. Rubber is obtained from the milky emulsion of many plants, known as latex. Aluminum is a relatively soft, durable, lightweight, tough, and malleable metal with a silver to dull gray sheen, depending on the roughness of the surface. It is non-magnetic and difficult to ignite. Scrap aluminum can theoretically be fully recycled without losing its quality. The process is relatively simple, as it consumes little energy. The result is a necklace of clean lines, selected colors, and a skillful combination of materials.
