Plečnik's cup or sugar bowl with spoon

The handmade porcelain cup draws inspiration from the classic shape of coffee cups, which were favoured by the renowned architect Plečnik, known for his passion for coffee. The cup's round handle and subtle gilt decoration reference Plečnik's design doctrine with a touch of modernity. The brass spoon is produced in two design versions, one for the sugar bowl and one for the cup. Both versions draw on Plečnik's design elements and his approach to materials, which was to create a more refined and larger product from a simple material. The porcelain sugar bowl with a lid and brass spoon set has been created in collaboration with the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum (SEM). The SEM holds Plečnik's interior design of the Lectarija, a shop selling handicrafts that once operated on Ljubljana's Congress Square. The version of the product with the porcelain sugar bowl refers to this design and to Plečnik's creative and respectful attitude towards craftsmanship and handicrafts.

The cup, sugar bowl and spoon are all unique and entirely handmade, created as a limited edition and purpose-designed souvenir.
