Tea ceremony ceramic cup.
The Krater Cup is a tea ceremony vessel crafted from wild urban clay sourced from the area surrounding the Krater production space. It presents wild ceramics as an alternative to industrial pottery, a philosophy reflected in the cup’s very form. Its rugged texture embraces the untamed character of the local clay, liberated from the constraints of industrially planned, standardized norms. At the same time, it remains a functional, batch-produced piece of tableware, where an expressive shape—achieved through extrusion—highlights the unique nature of the clay and the process of its creation.
